Specific Key Tasks
• Technical assistance to the Education Specialist in discussions with the MoE on launching curriculum and production of supporting materials on CEE for schools.
• Review of ongoing programme activities and support in implementation of activities related to climate change adaptation
• Monitoring of implementation of pilot schools action plans on climate change and environment;
• Support the MoE and NRCS inn conducting ‘Green School’ Campaigns / Awareness raising activities;
• Support the MoE and NRCS in implementation of an action plan for improvement of the school-facilities in the framework of 'Green school' initiative including environmental footprint assessment;
• Support the NRCS and MoE to undertake campaigns and competitions on community-based Environment and Climate Change initiatives.
• Support the NRCS and MoE in strengthening Eco clubs within the framework of Green School concept;
• Develop project and partnership documents with partners for 2019
• Based on outcomes of the current initiative, prepare a 3-year draft proposal on further mainstreaming of climate change adaptation for children
• Monitoring of progress in assessment of 400 schools and 210 kindergartens for safety conducted by the MoE
• Monitoring of progress in in implementation of initiative to further mainstream and monitor disability-inclusive DRR in pre-schools;
