a) Design, Supply and Augmentation of
(i) 2x10MVA Manned Primary Substation to 2x16MVA GIS Manned
Primary Substation at Ethulkotte
(ii) 2x5MVA + 2MVA Unmanned Primary Substation to 2x10MVA GIS
Manned Primary Substation at Beligaha
b) Design, Supply and Installation of
(i) 2x10MVA GIS Manned Primary Substation at Rattanapitiya
1. The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received financing from the Asian
Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Green Power Development and Energy
Efficiency Improvement Investment Program (Tranche 2). Part of this financing will be used
for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source
countries of the ADB.
2. The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the Procurement of Plant - Design, Supply and Installation for Package 5 consisting
of:
Augmentation of 02 Nos of 33/11kV Primary Substations and Construction of 01
No of 33/11kV Primary Substation
3. International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB's
Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source
countries of the ADB.
Bidder shall have minimum average annual turnover of at least USD 10 million,
calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed,
within the last three (3) years.
(i) 2x10MVA Manned Primary Substation to 2x16MVA GIS Manned
Primary Substation at Ethulkotte
(ii) 2x5MVA + 2MVA Unmanned Primary Substation to 2x10MVA GIS
Manned Primary Substation at Beligaha
b) Design, Supply and Installation of
(i) 2x10MVA GIS Manned Primary Substation at Rattanapitiya

Request for delivery by sending a written application to the address above requesting
the Bidding Document for Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency
Improvement Investment Program (Tranche 2) Package 5 – Primary Substations. The
application must include a bank draft drawn in favour of General Manager, Ceylon
Electricity Board, for the amount of LKR 120,000.00 (domestic delivery) or USD 900.00
(overseas delivery). The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for
loss or late delivery.
Deadline for Submission of Bids:16 January 2019, 10:00 hours (local time)
