Additional Information: Midland Refineries Company is one of the 3 major refining organisations operating in Iraq, all government by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.

Midland Refineries Company is made up of Daura Refinery and further exterior Refineries.
The Daura refinery was built in 1953 and began operations in 1955. It is located 20 kilometers southwest of Baghdad and is the second largest in Iraq.
When at full efficiency Daura Refinery can process up to 210,000 barrels a day,
Other Refineries operated in Midland Refineries Company are
1- Najaf Refinery with refining capacity of 30,000 barrels a day
2- Samawah Refinery with refining capacity of 30,000 barrels a day
3- Diwaniya Refinery with refining capacity of 20,000 barrels a day
