Microscope ( with phase contrast and camera attachment)
1. Application of this microscope is for imaging protein crystals
2. System must use 100% UV-optimized components: UV-grade optics, a UV-sensitive camera, and UV lighting
3. A compact microscope for imaging in a single crystallization plate like 24 well /96 well /Linbro /SBS/microbatch format from all manufactures like Grenier, corning, MRC etc used in protein
crystallography applications
4. It should automatically scans plates capturing visual, UV and fluorescent images.
5. Microscope must be designed in such a manner that it is UV compatible as well as it has low level of background noise with crystallography consumables , crystallization plates, cover media autofluorescence.
6. The UV light wavelength must be mentioned for the microscope.
7. Protein crystallization drops are illuminated with ultraviolet (UV) light and the fluorescence generated from aromatic amino acids like tryptophan must be detected to create an image.
8. It should have option to view both visual and UV image for a specific well at the same time.
9. It should have option to use visible light only as well as UV fluorescence, should be capable for Multi- Fluorescence Imaging
10. A 96-well plate should be scanned in as short as 5-6 minutes acquiring both brightfield and UV fluorescence images.
