3D Bioprinter
1. The 3D bioprinter shall consist of a minimum of 6-axis control of the dispensing nozzle
2. Contour 3D Printing capability
3. Programmed interchangeable tools allowing Automation of Workflow
4. UV curing capability at 365 nm
5. Enclosed in a Class-II, Type-A Biosafety Cabinet with laminar flow. Workstation access from front of BSC with enclosure safeties
6. Scanning of 3D contours/ objects
7. In-situ printing on 3D objects
8. Build volume minimum of 30 cm (length) x 25 cm (width) x 15 cm (height).
9. Minimum of 10 Tool storage bays
10. Tip detection station for accurate location of the tip of the needle of the dispenser
11. Distance sensing and calibration system
12. Integrated pneumatic dispensing system of 85 psi or more with appropriate connections.
13. The bioprinter must allow automation such as moving multi-well plates to and from the printing platform, ideally with an interchangeable attachment for liquid aspiration and dispense.
14. The bioprinter’s graphical user interface should be simple to use/ operate with an appropriately sized touch screen.
15. A remote printing status tracking system must be available for the printer during printing.
16. The bioprinter must be able to calibrate the UV curing.
17. The bioprinter must have an interface to scan a 3D object and import into standard software program for manipulation of the 3D design.
18. The software interface should include a materials database to set specific material settings.
